Coconut Date Balls
Coconut Date Balls
Makes about 4 Dozen
Ingredients
2 8oz. packs of pitted dates
1 stick of butter
1 cup of brown sugar
4 TBL Water
1 Tsp Vanilla
2 Cups of Rice Crispies
1/2 cup of almonds (optional)
Method of Preparation
Step 1) Mix together in 12' Sauce pan (dates, Butter, Brown sugar, water).
Step 2) Cook over medium heat for 10-12 minutes or until it thickens to paste.
Step 3) Remove from heat and add 1 Tsp of Vanilla, Mix in two cups of Rice Crispies
Step 4) Allow mix to cool to touch and grab a almond and roll the mixture over it into small balls.
Step 5) rol te balls in shredded coconut or powered sugar.
